Court Registries

Nunavut has two Court Registries – the Criminal Registry and the Civil Registry. The registries receive and review documents filed in proceedings for all courts in Nunavut. The registries are open to the public, providing support and ensuring the proper administration of court processes. Registry staff can assist with questions about the courts and filing documents, but they cannot provide legal advice.

Hours: The Court Registry is open for filing Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
