The premiers of Yukon, the Northwest Territories, and Nunavut met in Vancouver this week to discuss northern policy and common pan-territorial priorities, including sustainable development.
Nunavut today became a signatory to the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA), alongside all of Canada’s province and territories. This national internal trade agreement allows Nunavut to participate in Canada’s economic union equally.
