The mandate of the Canada-Nunavut Geoscience Office is to:
- Supply geoscience information and expertise in Nunavut in support of responsible exploration and development of mineral and energy resources;
- Build and maintain geoscience capacity and expertise in Nunavut;
- Provide geoscience training opportunities, public outreach, and communicate an awareness of Earth Science to Nunavummiut.
