Rebecca Hainnu, the principal of Quluaq School in Clyde River, is one of 40 principals from across Canada recently recognized as Outstanding Canadian Principals by the Learning Partnership, a Canadian Non-Profit organization that works to promote educational excellence across the country.
This prestigious award was announced nationally on January 31, 2018. Choosing the 40 participants began with the nomination of hundreds of principals from across Canada and through a rigorous selection process the final 40 winners, including Rebecca, were selected.
Rebecca has returned from meeting with the other 39 principals at National Academy of Canada’s Outstanding Principals at the Rotman School of Management in the University of Toronto. The focus of this networking opportunity was “Equity and Inclusion”. Rebecca is already putting what she learned into use through a learning partnership at her school entitled “Welcome to Kindergarten”.
The department would like to recognizing Rebecca Hainnu’s hard work on behalf of her students staff and community. Congratulations for winning this prestigious award!
