Intergovernmental Relations

Intergovernmental Relations works with other Nunavut departments to ensure Nunavut’s interests are represented in the Canadian federation.  Responsibilities include managing Nunavut’s partnerships with other provinces and territories and the federal government, coordinating Nunavut’s participation in national and provincial forums and negotiating and finalizing agreements with other governments.  Intergovernmental Relations also manages Nunavut’s international relations outside of the circumpolar world.  Intergovernmental Relations also leads GN participation in the Northern Premiers’ Forum, Western Premiers’ Conference and Council of the Federation.
