The Department of Health is advising Rankin Inlet residents and local mine workers to be aware of rabies following a suspected case of the disease in a fox near the Meliadine Gold Mine this week.
The Department of Health would like to notify residents of Igloolik that a fox tested positive for rabies. Due to the danger of rabies, we advise all residents to be on the lookout for foxes in your area.
