Nunavut today became a signatory to the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA), alongside all of Canada’s province and territories. This national internal trade agreement allows Nunavut to participate in Canada’s economic union equally.
The annual campaign to vaccinate Nunavummiut against influenza is underway. The vaccine is free and available at health centres throughout Nunavut, and in Iqaluit at the Public Health office.
Travelling safely during the pandemic can be complicated. There are federal travel rules, proof of vaccination, rapid tests and public health measures to consider.
