“Learn to …” Schedule of Events

Kugluk Territorial Park Summer 2020

Wednesday 1:15 to 3:00 PM

 

“Learn to…” events will be offered this summer in Kugluktuk! “Learn to” events aim to get the public out to the park to learn something new. Different activities are planned until the end of August 2020. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, this summer we are forced to limit our participants to 10 per session, please register by calling Jenny: 982-7461. All our events will be held outside and will be weather dependent.

Learn to Make Piffi

This session will teach the participants how to make piffi (dried fish).

Learn to Make Bannock and How to Prepare Traditional Tea

This session will teach participants how to make bannock, and traditional tea.

Learn to Make a Kakivak

This session will teach the participants how to make a kakivak.

Learn to Play Traditional Inuit Games

This session will teach participants how to play some traditional Inuit games.

Learn to Drum Dance

This session will teach participants an introduction to drum dancing.

Learn to Make Mipku

This session will teach the participants how to make mipku (dried meat).
