GN Accepting Cannabis Retail Licence Applications

The Government of Nunavut is currently accepting cannabis retail licence applications to operate cannabis stores in Nunavut. There are three types of stores – online stores, physical stores, and integrated stores (kiosks).

By allowing licensed private businesses to import and sell cannabis, the GN aims to give Nunavummiut more access to safer legal recreational cannabis. The cannabis retail licensing approach includes strict rules to combat the illegal market and protect Nunavut’s youth. Nunavut’s cannabis legislation and regulations have a broad range of requirements that licensed cannabis retailers must follow.

To learn more about the cannabis retail licensing process in Nunavut and to apply for a cannabis retail licence, please visit the Department of Finance website at https://www.gov.nu.ca/finance/information/cannabis-retail or email cannabis@gov.nu.ca. Intake is on-going; there is no deadline for submitting an application.
