Public meeting to discuss Kugaaruk liquor plebiscite

Residents of Kugaaruk, do you want to learn more about the upcoming liquor plebiscite?

The Nunavut Liquor and Cannabis Commission is holding a public meeting to discuss possible changes to the current community liquor status from a prohibited to a restricted quantities system. The proposed restricted quantities system would prohibit spirits and restrict quantities of beer and wine (four litres of wine and nine litres of beer every seven days).

The meeting will take place on February 13, 2019, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the community hall. Refreshments will be provided.
