Application deadline: September 23, 2020
The Department of Human Resources’ Public Service Training Division is now accepting applications for the Emerging Leaders’ Series as part of the Hivuliqtikhanut Leadership Development Program. This program provides classroom-based learning for three distinct levels: emerging leaders, supervisors and senior managers. Each of these levels is delivered as a series over a six to 11-month period. The leadership development program is offered to all Government of Nunavut (GN) departments and territorial corporations.
The Emerging Leaders’ Series consists of seven three-day modules to be delivered by distance learning from October 2020 to April 2021. Successfully completing the Emerging Leaders’ Series will require commitment from the participant, their supervisor and their department.
Eligibility
The GN is committed to having a representative workforce and supporting Inuit employees to develop successful careers in the public service. Applications for the Emerging Leaders’ Series will be restricted to term and indeterminate Inuit employees. Participants in the series will include program or project managers with less than two years of experience and motivated employees considering moving to management or supervisory positions in the future. Participants may also include employees who have team leadership responsibilities but do not yet supervise others.
