Project Management Fundamentals - NEW DATES

Learning Objectives

Given an assigned case study, or working on an existing project, the learner whether in management, administrative or operations will create a project charter, a WBS, RACI chart and, communications plan to allow a project team to accomplish project objectives.

Expected Outcomes

Performed-Based activities will be used as the type of assessment to measure the student achievement of those outcomes. The learner will be part of a group (project team) for which they will participate in workshops to complete various project documentations (objectives).

As an example the group will have a template and create a project charter (WBS, RACI chart and communications plan) based on the assigned case study or a real project that one of the learners is working on. The instructor will go around ensuring they understand the work to be done as well to answer questions.

This approach will cover:

  • Process Groups according to the Project Life Cycle

  • The Organization and the Projects
  • Project Initiating (Identification)
  • Project Planning
  • Project Execution/Control
  • Project Closure
