Reporting to the Senior Manager, Procurement, Logistics and Contracts, the Contract Manager, Commercial Airline Contracts is responsible for managing and monitoring deliverables of the Contract Management function to ensure Government of Nunavut (GN) requirements for Commercial Airline Contracts are met. In addition to monitoring scheduled and specific deliverables, the contact manager will also monitor contract obligations in accordance with the Nunavut Agreement (Article 24) as set out in the Nunavummi Nangminiqaqtnik Ikajuuti Regulations. This will be accomplished using sound contract management practices. This position will provide advice, guidance and training to all GN departments with respect to duty travel. This position will also manage the aspects of contracts that affect the general public class travel. This Contracts Manager will manage service delivery, review meetings and monitor service improvement plans when required. This position prepares and presents status reports on financials and delivery performance.

The knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this job are usually obtained through completion of an undergraduate degree in Business Administration or related field with two (2) years of related experience, including but not limited to: airline, travel management and/or airport management experience. Accreditation from industry professional organizations such as the Supply Chain Management Profession, Certified Project Management and/or the Canadian Professional logistics institute is a strong asset.

The Official Languages of Nunavut are Inuktitut Inuinnaqtun, English and French. Fluency in two or more of the official languages of Nunavut is an asset. Knowledge of Inuit language, communities, culture, land and Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit is an asset.

Equivalencies that consist of an acceptable combination of education and experience may be considered.
