This position is in Rankin Inlet and reports to the Manager, Revenue Operations, Petroleum Products Division; Revenue Clerk is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of Petroleum Products Customer Fuel Accounts and for responding to customer inquiries in a timely manner. Ensures adjustments to reconcile PPD Information System with the Government of Nunavut Information System and adjustments to customer accounts required and that payments are allocated to the proper receivable accounts; prepares daily bank deposits, maintains billing accuracy of customer accounts (accounts receivable), maintains the petty cash fund, responsible for the monthly mailing and preparation of account statements.
The ideal candidate must be able to communicate effectively both verbal and in writing, mathematical skills, client service & interpersonal skills. The above knowledge, skills and abilities would normally be attained through; Grade 10 with one year experience in Accounts Receivable/Accounting or related along with General accounting courses.
The Official Languages of Nunavut are Inuktitut, English and French.
Equivalencies that consist of an acceptable combination of education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered.
Knowledge of Inuit language, communities, culture, land and Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit is an asset.
