Legal & Constitutional Law

The Legal and Constitutional Law Division provides legal services and advice to Cabinet, all government departments and certain boards and public agencies, and represents the interests of the Government of Nunavut in all Court and tribunal proceedings and in intergovernmental and other negotiations. It is also responsible for constitutional matters, including those pertaining to the implementation of the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement, Devolution, and the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, and all litigation.
