“Aim for a Name” for new firearm safety campaign

The best campaign for Nunavummiut is one made by Nunavummiut. That is why the Department of Justice needs your help to “Aim for a name” for Nunavut’s new firearm safety campaign.

The “Aim for a Name” contest asks residents of Nunavut to submit potential names for the upcoming firearm safety campaign. The campaign will encourage secure use and storage of guns for the safety of our families and communities.

The winner of the naming contest will receive a $300 voucher to Canadian North Airlines. Additionally, three participation prizes of $100 to either the Co-op or Northern store will be awarded by a random draw.

To enter, submit your gun safety campaign name ideas in Inuktitut or Inuinnaqtun with the accompanying English translation to aimforaname@gov.nu.ca. Include your name, community, phone number or other preferred method of contact.

The deadline for submissions is September 30 at 11:59 p.m. EST.

For more information, please contact Holly Ferguson at hfergusonjus@gov.nu.ca.
