Boarding Homes

Below you will find information on the boarding homes funded by First Nations and Inuit Health Branch (FNIHB) of the Canadian Government. These boarding homes are for Land Claim Beneficiaries and their escorts on approved medical travel.

If you are a non-beneficiary escorting a beneficiary, you will be eligible to stay at the boarding home with the beneficiary.

If you are a beneficiary with an employer insurance plan that covers accommodations, you can stay at a boarding home but must give your insurance company’s billing information to the boarding home. In the event a boarding home is full, you may be asked to leave in order to make room for beneficiaries without any other insurance plans.
