Taloyoak, formerly known as Spence Bay, is the most northern community of the Canadian mainland, located in Nunavut’s Kitikmeot region at 69 24'N, 93 50'W. Taloyoak, meaning “large caribou blind” in Inuktitut, is on the shores of Stanners Harbour on the Arctic Ocean, northeast of Gjoa Haven and northwest of Kugaaruk.
