Heritage

Heritage is responsible for the conservation, protection, promotion and enhancement of the cultural richness of Nunavut. These objectives are achieved through the development and delivery of archaeology, toponymy, museums, archives and library policies, programs and services. Heritage oversees library services for Nunavummiut, provides grants and contributions to assist community-based heritage initiatives, and supports the growth and development of Nunavut’s artistic community.
