Inuit legends needed for Uqausirmut Quviasuutiqarniq 2017

Do you have an Inuit legend to share? We are looking for Inuit legends from Elders in every Nunavut community for Uqausirmut Quviasuutiqarniq 2017 – Nunavut’s annual celebration of Inuktut and Inuit culture.

Winning submissions will receive $350 and be featured in a coloring book for Nunavut elementary schools.

Submissions should be easy to read for children age five to 12, and be a maximum of 250 words. The deadline to submit a legend is August 12, 2016, before 5 p.m. EST.
