National Victims and Survivors of Crime Week

The National Victims and Survivors of Crime Week is from May 15 to May 21, 2023. This year’s theme is Power of Collaboration.

In the spirit of Pijitsirniq (serving and providing for family and community), Nunavut Victim Services will host workshops and events throughout May and June in various communities. Workshops will focus on raising awareness of traumatic brain injuries among victims and survivors of intimate partner violence.

Victims and survivors of crime can access counselling by referral from Victim Services; help with Court of Justice processes, such as preparing victim impact statements; and resources for families affected by Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women and Girls.

Nunavut Victim Services is a confidential, client-centred support service for victims and survivors of crime, available throughout the territory. If you or someone you know has been a victim of crime, please call 1-866-456-5216 or email @email.

For more information about Victims and Survivors of Crime week activities, please reach out to Dephin Mutema @email or call 867-975-6373.
