Pink Shirt Day is February 28

On February 28, wear pink! Show your support and take a stand against bullying.

Bullying has negative effects on building and maintaining positive school and community environments. Pink Shirt Day is held annually to raise awareness about bullying in our schools and communities.

Schools and communities can get involved in a variety of ways:

  •  wear pink to show your support against bullying;
  •  hold an anti-bullying assembly;
  •  make and share a video about the negative effects of bullying;
  •  invite students and community members to share stories against bullying;
  •  start a conversation against bullying with family members; and
  •  take a pledge and show your support by tweeting your #PinkShirtPromise.

Every child deserves an education free from discrimination, bullying, harassment and violence. Join the Government of Nunavut and support Pink Shirt Day! Visit www.pinkshirtday.ca for more ideas.
