Education and schools

Distance education

The Department of Education is in the process of developing a delivery plan for distance education. Distance Education will allow students to take advanced courses, such as math or science for post-secondary studies if these courses are not offered in their community. Currently Education cannot offer distance education courses in schools, but is working on a plan to be implemented in the near future.

If you wish to take distance education courses, you can do so though Alberta Distance Learning Centre. You can contact your principal and school staff for support.
