Appointment of New RCMP “V” Division Commanding Officer

Minister of Justice Jeannie Ehaloak released the following statement today:

“I would like to congratulate Amanda Jones for her recent appointment to the position of Commanding Officer, "V" Division. Ms. Jones brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience from her previous roles, including her most recent post as Officer in Charge of Criminal Operations in “G” Division in the Northwest Territories.
I would like to thank outgoing Chief Superintendent Mike Jeffery for his years of service in Nunavut. I wish him all the best in his new position.

It has been a pleasure working with Mr. Jeffery and I look forward to a close and effective relationship with Ms. Jones.”
