Call for proposals – Grants and Contributions

The Department of Culture and Heritage is currently accepting applications for Grants and Contributions funding to non-profit community-based organizations, individuals, and municipal corporations.

Grants and Contributions are available for programs related to:

  • Heritage: Arts, Culture and Heritage, Culture Communications, Heritage Facilities, Toponomy, Archaeology and Paleontology Research support.
  • Elders and Youth: Elders’ Initiatives, Youth Initiatives, Youth and Elders Committees, Elders and Youth Facilities.
  • Official Languages: Community Radio, Inuit Language Promotion and Protection, French Language Arts and Culture Development, French Language Services, and Private Sector Inuktut Support.
  • Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit: Inuit Societal Values, Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit, and can include, but are not limited to, counselling using traditional knowledge, and teaching traditional practices.

The Department of Culture and Heritage has also made changes to the Grants and Contributions Policy. Some of the notable changes are:

  • Applicants can apply for multi-year funding on various schedules.
  • Changes have been made to the audit reporting requirements.
