Call for Public Members for the Board of Inquiry

The Department of Health is seeking interested individuals to serve as members on future Boards of Inquiry as mandated in several health professions acts in Nunavut.

The role of the members of the Board of Inquiry is to review submissions and evidence related to allegations made against registered health professionals in Nunavut.

The Board of Inquiry runs independently and holds hearings to reach a final decision based on the evidence presented. The Board could require several preliminary meetings to establish rule of order and preliminary work. Having members with a diversity of skills, experiences and backgrounds adds strength to the Board of Inquiry.

For those interested in this opportunity, please submit a resume and a letter of interest by December 14, 2021 to Barbara Harvey, Registrar with the Department of Health, at @email or for questions at 867-982-7655. Interested applicants will be compiled and maintained for future Boards of Inquiry as needed.
