Changes to fall payments for fox pelts

As of November 12, 2021, the Department of Environment will now offer harvesters a one-time-only payment when fox pelts are presented at the wildlife office.

Harvesters will receive a guaranteed minimum payment of $50 for each prime fox pelt.

The department will no longer offer advances or fall payments for any fox pelts.

No changes are being made to how wolverine and wolf pelts are handled. Advances will continue to be paid for both wolverine and wolf pelts.

For any questions, please contact your local wildlife office.
