COVID-19 booster vaccine clinic at the QGH

Two doses and a booster shot of a Health Canada approved COVID-19 vaccine provide better protection against COVID-19 and new variants, such as Omicron.

December 29-31, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Iqaluit Health Services will be offering Moderna and Pfizer COVID-19 booster vaccines at the Qikiqtani General Hospital, on the clinic side. This is a walk-in clinic for adults only, who received their second dose at least 4.5 months ago (on or before August 11, 2021). Please bring your health care card and proof of vaccination certificate or wallet vaccine card indicating you received your second dose. Taxi vouchers will be available, if required.

Physical distancing, hand hygiene and enhanced cleaning practices will be in place to help keep everyone healthy. Masks are mandatory.

The COVID-19 vaccine is the best protection against this virus, and all Nunavummiut are encouraged to be vaccinated as soon as they are eligible.
