COVID-19 identified in Kugluktuk
Iqaluit, Nunavut (January 23, 2022) – Dr. Michael Patterson, Nunavut’s Chief Public Health Officer is announcing 26 new reported cases of COVID-19 in the territory, and one presumptive case in Kugluktuk.
There are currently 256 confirmed active cases of COVID-19 in Nunavut – 38 in Arviat, 36 in Baker Lake, 26 in Cambridge Bay, one in Chesterfield Inlet, nine in Coral Harbour, three in Gjoa Haven, nine in Igloolik, 34 in Iqaluit, one in Kimmirut, 18 in Kinngait, 15 in Naujaat, one in Qikiqtarjuaq, 20 in Rankin Inlet, seven in Sanirajak, 27 in Sanikiluaq, eight in Taloyoak, three in Whale Cove.
There have been 428 total reported recoveries in this outbreak.

Anyone who develops COVID-19 symptoms is advised to call the COVID hotline at
1-888-975-8601 between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. EDT or notify their community health centre right away by telephone. Please do not go to the health centre in person.
