The Department of Education is seeking full-time grade 11, 12 and post-secondary students to apply for a $2,200 bursary through the Government of Canada’s Explore program.

Explore is a five-week intensive French language-immersion program offered in the spring or summer. Participants from Nunavut can have their travel fees reimbursed and can be granted five credits for their participation in the program.

Participants receive a bursary that covers tuition fees for the program, instructional materials, meals and accommodations, workshops, and other mandatory activities. The educational institution you will be attending receives the bursary directly. Bursaries are awarded by random draw.

The application deadline is March 6, 2015. For more information, including eligibility criteria, please contact Nunavut’s territorial coordinator, Josianne Beaumont, at 867-975-5652 or @email.
