Explore: spring and summer French immersion program now welcomes applicants
The Department of Education is inviting Nunavut students from 13 years of age to post-secondary school to apply for the Explore Official Languages Program.
Explore is a summer program for students who want to learn French through linguistic, cultural, and social experiences. Held at various universities throughout the country, students will take part in on-campus activities and discover regional francophone culture.
No previous French experience is required. Students are offered a supportive and encouraging environment, with groups organized according to everyone’s level of French proficiency.
High school students can be granted up to five credits. College and university students can also obtain school credit, depending on whether the host institution offers that opportunity and whether the school, college, or university will accept that credit. Explore is an Official Languages Program offered by the Council of Education Ministers, Canada. It is funded by the Government of Canada and supported by the Government of Nunavut’s Department of Education.
Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity! Submit your application by February 6, 2024.
