Food recall: Miss Vickie’s brand Jalapeño potato chips recalled due to Salmonella
The Department of Health is warning about a food recall on Miss Vickie’s brand Jalapeño Kettle Cooked Potato Chips. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) food safety inspection identified possible Salmonella contamination.

Recalled products should be thrown out or returned to the location where they were purchased.
Food contaminated with Salmonella may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick. Short-term symptoms can include fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps and diarrhea. Young children, pregnant women, Elders and people with weakened immune systems may contract serious and sometimes deadly infections. If you think you became sick from consuming a recalled product, call your local health centre.
