Inspect your fuel tank to prevent a costly fuel spill

Each year, the Department of Environment performs fuel tank inspections in Nunavut. The service is provided free of charge as a courtesy to fuel tank owners.

The purpose of these inspections is to prevent fuel spills by ensuring that fuel tanks are in good working condition.

Accidental releases of fuel can be costly. Homeowners are reminded to check their tanks periodically to make sure there are no leaks or other problems.

You may see inspectors in your neighbourhood or near your residence. Inspectors will be sure to comply with COVID-19 protocols.

To request a fuel tank inspection, please email @email or call 867-975-7769 and leave a message. You can choose to have the inspection results sent to you by email or left on your doorstep.
