National Victims and Survivors of Crime Week

May 27 to June 2, 2018 is National Victims and Survivors of Crime Week, formerly known as National Victims Awareness Week.

This year we remember missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls and other victims and survivors of crime.

The Department of Justice would like to remind Nunavummiut that victim services are available throughout the territory to offer a variety of supports to victims and survivors of crime and their loved ones. This includes access to information and training opportunities, and financial support through the Victims Travel Support Program and the Victims Assistance Fund.

Information packages about the Canadian Victims Bill of Rights and the court process, as well as a list of services offered in each region are available in all communities. For more information, please contact victim services at 1-866-456-5216 or email @email.
