New Government of Nunavut Website Launched
IQALUIT, Nunavut (September 18, 2013) – The Government of Nunavut (GN) launched its new website today, which is more client-focused and has improved search options to provide Nunavummiut with easier access to government programs, services and information.
"We are very excited to launch our new website because it is a significant upgrade from our previous one," said Premier Eva Aariak. "Nunavummiut and the public can now find the services and programs they need quickly and easily, making government information available at the touch of a button."
This new website responds to a need identified in the Qanukkanniq Report Card – the need for the GN to improve its communications. It ensures that Nunavummiut are provided with the most current and accurate information about the programs and services provided by the GN.
The next stage of the website will include incorporating the content of all GN departments into one central website that can be updated regularly to keep them current and accurate. You can visit the new website at the same web address, www.gov.nu.ca.
A website is never finished – it changes monthly, weekly, and sometimes daily. Feedback on the new website is welcome; this includes thoughts, corrections, and even ideas. Please send your feedback by email to: @email .
