North American Indigenous Games Scam

The Government of Nunavut (GN) would like to bring attention to a recent social media scam, following the start of the 2023 North American Indigenous Games (NAIG) on July 16, 2023.

Fraudulent websites claim to provide streaming access of NAIG for a fee and ask you to enter sensitive information. This is an attempt to steal your personal information including credit card details and can lead to identity theft and fraudulent credit charges. If you are a victim of online fraud the GN recommends you immediately report the incident to the RCMP Anti-Fraud Centre at 1-888-495-8501.

An online broadcast of NAIG is available to the public free of charge. Nunavummiut can access the NAIG YouTube channel to watch the games.
