Tobacco Has No Place Here hosts health fair, feast and concert in Iqaluit

The Tobacco Has No Place Here campaign invites you to a health fair, community feast and concert on Saturday, January 25. This event is in recognition of National Non-Smoking Week and will take place at the Francophone Centre, Building 981, Iqaluit. The health fair is from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., followed by the feast and concert, beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Staff from the Government of Nunavut’s Department of Health and community organizations will be on hand to provide information and support for quitting tobacco, healthy eating, healthy relationships, physical activity, suicide prevention and more. There will be healthy snacks and activities for children -- so bring the whole family!

The community feast starts at 5:30 p.m. and the concert features the Inuksuk Drum Dancers, Koel & the Twin Otters, and Jonathan Pitseolak.

The event is free of charge, and everyone is welcome!
