Walk-in COVID-19 vaccination clinics for Iqaluit

The COVID-19 vaccine is Nunavut’s best protection against this virus, and all Nunavummiut are encouraged to get vaccinated as soon as they are eligible.

Iqaluit Public Health will be holding walk-in COVID-19 vaccinations clinics beginning this week for first, second or booster COVID-19 vaccines for those eligible.

Walk-in clinic for ages 5 to 11 on the following dates only:

  • Saturday, February 5 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
  • Thursday, February 10 from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. and 1:15 – 4:15 p.m.
  • Friday, February 11 from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. and 1:15 – 4:15 p.m.

Walk-in clinic for ages 12 and older:

  • Every Monday to Wednesday from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m., and 1:15 – 4:15 p.m.
  • Every Friday from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m., and 1:15 – 4:15 p.m.

If Iqaluit Public Health is experiencing a high volume of walk-ins on a certain day, you may be asked to come back the following day.

Resuming February 17 for those ages 5 to 11, the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 pediatric vaccine continues to be available by appointment every Thursday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:15 to 4:15 p.m. Iqaluit Public Health is located in Building 1091 near the old airport terminal. To book an appointment please call 975-4810.

A parent or guardian must accompany the child to the appointment, to give consent for the vaccination.

Physical distancing, hand hygiene and enhanced cleaning practices will be in place to help keep everyone healthy. For the protection of yourself and the community, you must wear mask to your appointment.
