The Department of Health is issuing a travel notice to Nunavummiut planning to travel to South and Central America, the Caribbean, African and Asian countries affected by the Zika virus.
Nunavut’s Chief Public Health Officer, Dr. Michael Patterson, has suspended Nunavut’s Common Travel Area with Churchill, Manitoba, effective immediately.
As of July 29, there is a Common Travel Area with Nunavik. Travellers from a COVID-free community who have been in Nunavut or Nunavik for at least 14 days will be able to travel between the two areas.
