Call for Foster Parents in Iqaluit

Would you like to make a difference in the life of a child or youth?

The Department of Family Services is looking for foster parents in Iqaluit!

Reasons why should you foster?

  • To make a difference in the life of a child;
  • To help children and families in your community when they need your help the most;
  • To support healthy relationships between children and their families;
  • To be part of a team protecting and nurturing children;
  • To help promote healthy families within your community; and,
  • Gain a rewarding experience helping meet a child’s development needs.

Foster parents can make a difference!

Iqalummiut interested in becoming a foster parent must complete a Foster Parent Application, at local Family Services Offices and submit it to a Community Social Services Worker (CSSW). Iqalummiut interested in applying can also apply in person with the help of a CSSW.
